Nabin School felicitates E-bike Inventor Sagar Pokharel and relishes its achievement

Butwal, December 3: Nabin Audhyogik Kadar Bahadur Rayamajhi Secondary School (NAKBRSS), Butwal felicitated Master Sagar Pokharel of Grade 12 from Civil Engineering discipline, who invented an electric bike with reverse gear, which is a ground-breaking invention in two-wheeler vehicle sector in Nepal, in the school premises on 23rd November. Master Sagar is originally from Sandhikharka Municipality-01, Arghakhanchi, who has been successful in inventing and innovating a range of electric items, such as refrigerator, xerox machine, excavator, robots etc. which he has showcased in various exhibitions and has gained widespread acclamation for his major breakthroughs.

A grand program was organized to recognize the contribution of Master Sagar to two-wheeler vehicle sector in Nepal. “I have been participating in various exhibition programs of electric items which I have invented with great dedication and efforts”, said Sagar. “And this is my first breakthrough in two-wheeler vehicle sector with reverse gear. I am always keen and make full efforts whilst making such equipment, which gives me complete satisfaction”, he added. He went on saying, “I am content with my inventions and innovations and greatly thankful to the principal of Nabin School who always galvanizes me to get engaged in creative tasks and get an exciting upshot”. This current electric bike can be ridden back with a reverse gear system which is a new concept in Nepal; as a result, this e-bike has gained high acclamation across the country, and many organizations have felicitated Master Sagar for being an inspiration for the youths of Nepal.  

At the ceremony, Master Sagar was felicitated by the school management committee with a cash prize, Rs. 51,000 in the presence of deputy Mayor of Butwal Sub-metropolis, Mrs. Guma Devi Acharya, Ward-11 President, Ram Chandra Chhetri, Nabin School Management Committee President, Krishna Kharel, member, Rajendra Dhakal, stakeholder, dignitaries, students and teachers. During the felicitation, Mr. Prem Bahadur Basnet, the principal at Nabin Audhyogik Secondary School said that the school always encourages such creative minds and helps in crystallizing their dreams. This invention has created a milestone in two-wheeler vehicle sector in Nepal, which can be further researched and developed for a professional purpose. He requested all social organizations to pledge reasonable assistance to Master Sagar who can be an asset to vehicle entrepreneurs in Nepal. He further said the school focuses on practical education, which is equipped with theoretical orientation by the adroit instructors.

The total cost of the e-bike is Rs. 110,000.00, powered by 48-volt DC which can be ridden up to 100 km per hour. Master Sagar has earned a fortune after the invention of such a quintessential vehicle.
