Gaurishankar Multiple Campus

Dolakha, Bhimeshwor Municipality-3, Charikot

t the moment, our campus has faced difficulties due to the devastating earthquake of Baisakh 12 and 29, 2072 B.S. (25 April and 25 May 2015) and the hundreds of big and small aftershocks since then. The earthquake destroyed almost all the infrastructures of the campus. The campus had 7 buildings for classroom and administrative purposes. Among those buildings, 5 of them have been completely destroyed and two of them (one for library and another for classroom) have been partially damaged. The remaining building for classroom purpose which has been partially damaged is in use now by repairing. Some tents and cottages have been constructed temporarily on the campus premises. Till the date we are not able to construct any other new buildings in the campus premises for the academic purpose.

The staff of this campus comprises of highly experienced, qualified and dynamic professionals with dedication and self-motivation. As a result, teaching learning experience is participatory and goal oriented with continuous assessment viz. class test, monthly test, terminal exam, pre-board exam etc.  Co-curricular and extracurricular activities are conducted frequently. Student’s incentive packages like full scholarship to the term exam toppers, different scholarships e.g. One Donor One student Support Program (ODOSP) to address the needy students, student honor program with various prize and reward and so on. Separate library with textbooks and other reference materials, computer lab, initiation of Software and EMIS etc. have added extra charm to retain the identification of this campus throughout the district. Campus Management committee is formed as per the regulation of campus.

The academic year 2072 has been one of the challenging period as to run the academic and administrative activities of the campus due to the devastating earth quake and the blockade on the boarders of Nepal resulting adverse effect on transportation. After that we are conducting different administrative and academic activities in normal situation with scarcity on physical and infrastructural property.
