Birgunj Nursing Campus is located at Province No. II, Birgunj Metropolitan City, Birta – 4. It was established in 2032 BS (1975 AD) with AHW/CMA (Community Medicine Auxiliary) programme. In 2033 B.S, this programme came under T.U.IOM as Birgunj Campus. During its 43 years of existence, Birgunj Nursing Campus has made a significant progress. It has expanded its academic program from CMA to Bachelor of Nursing Science and is looking forward to bring further higher education in Nursing Science. At present , BNC is running two nursing education programme i.e. 3 years Proficiency Certificate Level Nursing Program (PCL) with 45 students intake each year since 2043 B.S. and 2 years Bachelor in Nursing (BN) since 2068 B.S. and 3 years BNS with 25 students intake each year since 2073 B.S.

Vision

The vision of the Birgunj Nursing Campus is to produce nursing personnel of optimum level of academic excellence and to be recognized as prestigious nursing institute in Province II, to cover the universal health in meeting the Sustainable Development Goals.

Its mission is to create and maintain a learning environment that fosters critical thinking, the acquisition of knowledge, and the development of ongoing professional skills and transform the care in a rapidly changing, diverse and complex health care environment through academic excellence, inventive research, strong partnerships, and global initiatives.

Goals

To achieve our mission and fulfill vision we have strategic goals:

  • To deliver high quality nursing education comparable to the international standards and to promote quality education through faculty development initiative.
  • To produce the middle level human resources who are qualified and well prepared to work efficiently in the assigned area and cope with the challenging environment in the growing world.
  • To upgrade and update the existing academic infrastructure including library and IT facilities to support quality education.
