The students seeking admission to the Bachelor level programs must have completed Higher Secondary (10+2) with Science (Physical or Bio-group) obtaining minimum C Grade in each subject or Diploma in Engineering or equivalent from a recognized institution securing at least second division marks with mathematics (100 marks or 3 credit hours) as one of the subjects.
There are two different routes to get to nec Changunaryan from Ratna Park.
Route 1: ( Ratna Park-Baneshwor-Koteshwor-Lokanthali-Sallaghari-Duwakot-nec: 17.1 km)
Route 2: ( Ratna Park-Chabhil-Jorpati-Mulpani-nec: 13.6 km).
You can get public buses on those routes.
On 28th Poush, 2078, the day of the entrance examination, college buses would be made available on different routes. The schedules of routes would be published on the college’s website (www.nec.edu.np) before 28th Poush.
After you have enrolled in nec, you can use college bus services after paying the college bus fee.
Step1: The applicants meeting the necessary criteria need to fill online form paying a charge of Rs. 2000 through Khalti or eSewa or you can pay at nec counters and appear in entrance examination. nec counters are available at nec Changunarayan and nec BDH Satdobato. Step2: The merit list of applicants will be published based on the marks obtained by them in entrance. Applicants on the merit list will have to be admitted within the time frame then published.

There are numerous co-curricular activities conducted by the college to enhance learning. Frequent project exhibitions, seminars, workshops and trainings are conducted at nec We have academic tours. Students can also be a part of various student clubs like CTRC, CARRD, MSPs, NCESS, PVYN, ACAS, NCRES. They can participate in sports and we have sports week.
The nec entrance examination follows the syllabus of Higher Education Board Nepal (10 +2). The weightage of different subjects in nec entrance is 40 % Mathematics (from grade XI only), 25 % Physics, 20 % English and 15% Chemistry.
The Chemistry is optional but aptitude test is compulsory for B. Architecture applicants.
The Chemistry is compulsory for B. Engineering applicants.
nec is a not for profit social academic institution. It has been producing engineers and architects from the last 26 years. Now it has strength of more than 80 full time teaching faculties and more than 70 other staffs. Most of our teaching faculties have more than ten years of experiences. Four of our faculties have been listed as the scientists in NAST.
We have well equipped laboratory, library and physical infrastructures. Similarly we have football ground, basketball court, badminton court, nec-clinic, hostel for girls and transportation facilities.
We are one of the five institutions who have been awarded the permanent status by the Nepal Engineering Council.
