Eligibility

  • Aspiring students should have passed 10+2 or equivalent examination with Physics, Chemistry, Biology, and English with a minimum of 50% marks secured from a recognized board of the country.
  • Veterinary Council of India conducts an All India Common Entrance Examination known as All India Pre-Veterinary Test (AIPVT) in the month of May each year for filling up of 15% of the total no. of seats of each Veterinary college of the States where the Indian Veterinary Council Act, 1984 extends.
  • Some of the State Universities also conduct separate entrance examination to get admission to their B.V.Sc. & A.H degree course. Selection to the degree course in these colleges is based on marks secured in the final merit i.e. total marks aggregated in the final exams of 10+2 and the entrance exam.

BVSc AH Job Prospects and Career Options The graduates of Bachelor of Veterinary Science and Animal Husbandry go on to become vets and get employed in animal surgeries or elsewhere. If you do not prefer surgery, then the option of research about animal diseases and vaccines is also available.
