Bachelor Of Information Technology

The Bachelor of Information Technology is a four year program in information technology having 139 credit hours. This program provides the good knowledge in computer science, communication technology and their application in the respective fields.

This program focuses on the systems development aspects of employment in the information technology profession. Students gain extensive experience in developing information and communications technology to address the needs of modern organizations.

The information technology related units covered in the course include basic programming constructs and modern programming environments, networking engineering principles and wireless networking protocols, object-oriented software architectures, data base management system, multimedia system, Financial management and accounting, and software quality management. Information Systems units include database management, corporate IT strategy and governance, information systems analysis and design, document and workflow and management support.

Information technology (IT) is all about developing, building and maintaining software technology systems to meet the challenges faced by business and society. We train IT graduates to be technically savvy, creative and flexible.

The students will learn to work on a team for producing and implementing substantial networked or distributed software -based system to address current and emerging needs of local business, government and community organizations.

ELIGIBILITY FOR ACADEMIC

Students seeking admission to Bachelor of Information Technology programs must have completed intermediate in any stream with Mathematics or Business mathematics in plus 2/ Bachelor of Information Technology Diploma ( at least 100 marks ) from a recognized institutions securing at least second division (45%).

Aspiring students must pass the Entrance Examination conducted by Purbanchal University.
 

SCHOLARSHIP

The scholarship in this program shall be awarded on the following basis:

• Five percent scholarship on the basis of merit of entrance examination conducted by Purbanchal University.
• Five percent scholarship on the basis of reservation quota specified by Purbanchal University. Degree Award After successful completion a student will be awarded degree entitled “Bachelor of Information Technology” by Purbanchal University.
