Course Description

Thapathali campus introduced Bachelor in Electronics and Communication Engineering in 2067 B.S. under Department of Electronics and Computer Engineering as the third bachelor program in campus. The numbers of available seats are 12 regular seats and 36 full fee seats as shown in table 5. This program aims to provide knowledge of modern electronics and communication systems and knowledge of existing technologies, processing and methodologies in various companies around the globe. This is more findings, projects and research based study and is more challenging to meet the demand of growing economy and technology based modern world. The graduates in bachelor in electronics engineering are expected to serve in (Information Technology) IT sector and the field of electronics in Nepal as well as abroad and contribute in enhancement of development of new technology in information and communication. The first batch in bachelor in electronics and communication engineering are on the verge of graduation and will be graduating this year.

From the very beginning of this program, Department of Electronics and Computer Engineering is providing quality education to the students as this department have energetic faculties, laboratories. The problem being faced in this departments are lack of full time faculties to contribute a lot in providing educations and some advanced equipments and laboratories to familiarize students about the modern machines and perform research activities. Campus should recruit more full time faculties and develop advance labs and research center to address the existing problems in this department. For this, Institute of Engineering and Tribhuvan University should help Thapathali campus on this aspect.
