Course Description

Bachelor in Development Finance (BDFin) is a highly demand driven internationally recognized professional program affiliated to Kathmandu University. Started in 2006, this highly structured and dynamic program is tailor made to take on the challenges of finance-related aspects important to development. Specifically, ‘Development finance’ aims to create programs and solutions to challenges that the local businesses, industries, banking and financial institutions, and local and global environment face.

BDFin graduates have job opportunities in the financial sectors (banks and insurances), microfinance and cooperatives, enterprises development institutions and research institutions within governmental, non-governmental and private organizations. But, above all, as independent researchers and business entrepreneurs, the graduates have excelled. The BDFin program graduates are qualified for Master in Development Finance, Master in Business Administration and Masters in various fields viz. Economics, Management and Public policy.
