Facilities

University library is an academic library that is attached to higher education institution and serve a complementary purpose: to support the curriculum and research of the faculty and students.It is considered the most important resource of an institution. As heart and blood of university, it is invaluable partner for furthering the mission of the university.

Central Campus of Technology Library provides different services to its community to fullfil the objectives of the campus. Central Campus of Technology Library is there to support the objectives of campus which promote teaching learning and research.

Objectives

The objectives of the Library are to:

  • Fulfill the teaching and research needs of the University
  • Provide materials both in conventional and e-formats and furnish an environment conducive to study & research.
  • Encourage membership and promote information literacy, readership and life-long learning.
  • Promote resource sharing, networking and exchange of databases.
  • Provide documentation and information services and bring out relevant publications.
  • Help develop libraries and promote standards, guidelines and best practices.
  • Promote professional expertise in information management and conduct trainings in librarianship.
Central Campus of Technology

The campus has facilities for both outdoor and indoor games. It has a well-maintained ground north to the classroom block for outdoor games like football, cricket, volleyball and basketball. Indoor games like badminton and table tennis are played inside the classroom block as there is no separate covered hall.

Sports

All the sports materials are provided by the campus. Annual games are formally organized by the campus; but, Student Unions and Organizations, too, organize separate tournaments, such as Students’ Union Cup, NEFTSA Cup, NSAM Cup, APS Cup, GSS Cup etc. Apart from these inter- and intra-program tournaments, students also take part in inter-campus tournaments. Occasionally, friendly matches like volleyball and football between teachers, students and administrative staffs are arranged. Likewise, Teachers’ Union and Employees’ Union also organize tournaments. Certificates of participation and prizes are given away formally at especially organized prize distribution ceremony or during other relevant programs. In addition, brain storming activities like essay competition, quiz contest, colloquiums are also organized.

Girls Hostel

The campus has separate hostel facilities for female and male students within its premise. It has a two-story well-facilitated, advanced girls' hostel which is located opposite to the class rooms and administration blocks, and is guarded by a security guard. It has the capacity to accommodate 45 girls and a hostel warden. In its premise, there is a separate canteen and a basketball court for the hostel girls. The area is under CCTV surveillance.

Boys Hostel

Likewise, the campus has modest boys' hostel names Mahananda Sapkota Hostel. It consists of two blocks, one each for B. Tech. and B. Sc. students. The B. Tech. block consists of 13 rooms and the B.Sc. block consists of 11 rooms. The hostel can accommodate up to 50 students in all. But this hostel will be temporary for the campus has already started to build an advance hostel for the male students. The hostel will have two blocks; each block with the capacity to accommodate 50 students. The boys’ hostel will also have a teacher quarter for its warden, a guard house, and a basketball court within its compound. According to the plan the new boys’ hostel is under construction.

The hostels’ compounds are quite spacious, with sufficient space for recreation and gardening. A separate room is available for cabled Television in both of the hostels. CCT has also provided internet facilities for the students. Both the hostels have high speed internet facility, separate cafeterias, well furnished rooms and temple.

The hostels are administered by Hostel Management Committee that comprises hostel wardens, campus chief, some teachers, and a representative from student union. There is an arrangement of hostel prefects for internal supervision/monitoring of the day-to-day hostel activities. The prefects are liable to the wardens.

The facility is for students from remote or far off districts. The entrants pay a token fee of NRs 100 per month per student for the male students. The yearly intake number ranges between 10 and 15. Whereas, for the female students, entrants pay is NRs 1000 & 1200 per month per student.

Central Campus of Technology

CCT has two new vehicles, a 30-seated bus and a 9-seated jeep, for transportation. The bus is used for educational tours and the jeep is mostly used for official purposes. Every year, CCT conducts around 18 to 20 educational tours.

ere are 12 teacher quarters of C and B type accommodating 17 families, a 6-room guest house, and a two story staff quarts for 4 families.

Our FAQ

Located at ........... near ......., our College is served by regular & quick public transport – buses, micro-vans, and tempos.

Admission is given on the basis of an Entrance Examination which is mandatory, comprehensive, and has to be cleared or on the basis of SEE grades. A personal interview closely conducted by the College Management is compulsory for all students accompanied by their parents.

Yes, our college offers varied scholarships to students on a need-cum-merit basis.

Some of our co-curricular activities include debating, elocution, essay writing, painting, drama, project, and excursions.

Our Library is full of text-books, reference books/encyclopedias, and journals/ newspapers/magazines to keep the students well-informed. We have transportation facility as well.
